Catching the Witch

It took a few days of searching, but I finally managed to find Willow. It took about an hour to get her knocked out enough so I could drag her back to our place. Once I had her back to our place I tied her to a chair, being careful to keep them tight and then went to find Wes. "Wes I found her." Now that we have her she can fix him as soon as she wakes back up that is.

I got Wes some blood from the blood bank, he has to have something while we wait for her to wake up.

It's a three way tie between becoming homecoming queen, prom queen, and stealing the principal's Mustang.

7. What is your worst memory from adolescence?

I don't know why I keep doing these, probably because people claim it makes me more interesting. Personally I think these things are thought up by people who have nothing better to do with themselves.

I'm Not Alright. I'm Broken inside....

Who: Lilah, open to anyone
Where: Wolfram and Hart Lilah’s office
When: Jan 11th Late Monday night after her seeing Wes with Fred
What: Lilah drinking and trying to figure out how her life became such a mess
Status:complete

Lilah knew that a lot of people thought she had a list of reasons for joining Wolfram and Hart that were a mile long, but the truth was there were really only two reasons she signed her soul away. The first was the death of her father on her eighth birthday. He'd been called away on a business trip and had promised her and her mother that he'd be back for her party. Her father never made it back though, the plane he was coming home on crashed, and when her mother got the news she was never the same. In fact her mother had suffered a mental breakdown that Lilah was told she'd never recover from. Lilah knew that her mother had really suffered the effects of a broken heart though.

The second reason Lilah took Holland Manners up on his offers of power, prestige, a way out of her small town existence, and everything she'd ever wanted was, her college sweetheart and fiancé David's death. His death had been ruled a suicide and had happened on the day of their wedding. So when Holland came calling two days later at the funeral, thinking she had nothing left to loose since her whole world was gone she signed her name in blood and the rest they say is history, or it least it should’ve been.

Lilah’s life and the girl she was before she’d ever heard the name Wolfram and Hart, most days no longer mattered to her or so she let people think. The truth of the matter was while Lilah acted as though she was a solid pillar of icy strength, that’s all it was about eighty percent of the time an act. The only time that Lilah ever let herself think about her reasons for being in her current position was when she was alone and getting so drunk that she became numb. As she walked into her office and looked around the room then at the glittering city below her, she decided that tonight after what had happened with Wesley was one of *those* kind of nights; so she grabbed a bottle or two full of scotch and vodka and sat down on the sofa.

As she opened the bottle of vodka she thought about trying to call the clinic and checking in on her mother, but as she drank down the first swallow of vodka she realized that she wasn’t in the mood for *that* much more heartbreak than what she already had. Plus it was likely that someone at the clinic had told her mother that her only daughter was dead, and a month ago they’d have been right. Lilah liked to think that telling her mother of her death would’ve made a difference, but she knew it probably didn’t since her mother barely remembered her much when she was alive and telling her that they got it ‘wrong’ now wouldn’t’ matter either sadly.

She downed some more vodka and looked out at the city, before getting up and turning on her new stereo system. She hadn’t touched it yet, but tonight just seemed like the time to break it in. She looked through her cd collection that she’d gotten from one of the boxes of her things, which had all been put away in storage. After searching through them for a few moments she put one in and just let the music wash over her, as she sat back down on the sofa with the bottle of scotch. As she listened to the song she let herself get deeply lost in own thoughts. While Lilah let herself get lost in a bottle of vodka, the words, “Lost and insecure You found me, you found me Lying on the floor Surrounded, surrounded Why’d you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you? Just a little late you found me, you found me” of the song played as she downed more vodka and watched the sky start to change colors.

Trying to work though the pain....

Who: Lilah,Wesley
Where: Lilah's new corner office
When: Jan 11th Monday afternoon after the big meeting of the new recruits
What: Lilah working or trying to
Status:complete

After she abruptly left the meeting without a word to anyone,Lilah returned to her new corner office. She sat down at her desk and started to go through the few files that were already sitting in her in box on her desk. As she did so she was only half halfheartedly looking at the files that were in the various folders;because instead of paying more attention to the words on the page in front of her, Lilah was deep in thought about Wesley.

Before she'd died she'd loved him,and loving anyone was something that Lilah hadn't done in a very long time. She'd tried to deny it the more she was with Wes,but when he saved her from the beast and then left her, she'd wanted so badly to tell him how she felt then. She'd missed her chance though, and if she were honest with herself she had also been too afraid that he wouldn't believe her and that those three little words from her would just cause him to leave her again.

Lilah was so wrapped up in her own thoughts and trying to concentrate on the file in her hands, that she wouldn't have notice anyone coming into the room.

It´s all about power, by taking control.....

Who: Lilah, Angel, and his team
Where: Angel's office
When: Jan 1th Monday Morning before Angel and his team meet the retrieval team
What: Lilah returns
Status: Complete

Lilah left her little grey cubicle and headed out down the hall. After she made it down the hall, walked into a large lobby and stopped in front of a large reception desk. She smiled at the girl that was there. "Hi I need to see the Senior Partners." She told the girl.

The girl didn't even seem to notice her; she was too busy stapling things in a zombie like state. Lilah sighed and looked over the desk to see that the girl wasn't stapling papers, but her fingers. "Right... I'll just show myself in then...” She passed the girl and knocked on the large dark cherry wood doors, to the Senior Partners office. She just hoped that they were in a fairly good mood, because after a few years (a few months back on earth) of being a ‘god girl’ and doing her job and watching Eve not getting through to team Angel, Lilah had finally found her ticket back to earth and a better position than the one she had now. She stood waiting for them to tell her to come in, she knew better than to just walk into their office even after knocking.

After a few seconds a low gravelly voice said,”Enter”. She opened the door and walked inside, closing the door behind her. Lilah stood in the middle of their office, while behind a large ornate desk sat the Wolf Ram and Hart. The three of them looked at her, waiting to hear why she’d dared to ask for a meeting. Lilah looked at them and quietly cleared her throat. “I’ve been thinking that perhaps it’s time a new liaison was placed with Angel and his friends, and frankly Eve doesn’t really know anything about any of them, and in the last few months that she’s been assigned to them she’s failed astronomically at giving you any information ” She explained carefully watching their expressions for any hint of displeasure.

Wolf looked at his other two partners, then back at Lilah. ”You mean to tell us Ms. Morgan that Eve one of our own children is unsuitable to handle Angel and his friends?” Ram and Hart just nodded in agreement with Wolf. Lilah sighed and briefly wondered how it was these three ever rose to power. “Sir with all due respect yes, she’s more than proven that she doesn’t know Angel and his team as well as I do, I’m more qualified for the job” She pointed out.

Wolf looked at her then at his partners again and sighed, she did have a very good point. ”Give us a moment to discuss it.” He told her, and then he turned to Ram and Hart. Ram thought over what she’d said, and looked at Wolf. “She has a very valid point, but there is that messy business with Mr. Pryce that I think could cloud her better judgment.”

Hart decided to speak up on the subject as well. ”Yes well there is that, but since Angel agreed to take over the Los Angels branch, we’ve held up our end of the bargain and provided him with the mind wipe spell.” Wolf and Ram nodded. They all turned back to Lilah with smiles. ”Fine we’ll send you back to earth as liaison to Angel and his friends, on two conditions.” Lilah looked at them, “What are the conditions?”

Wolf looked at her with a huge smile,“First your contract will be brought back to us in order for you to remain on earth as the liaison, and second one...is your life back” Wolf said as a bright white light engulfed her. Once the light faded Lilah looked at the three of them nodded, thanked them and walked out of the office to go collect her things. An hour later Lilah was back on earth and walking into the Los Angeles branch like she owned the place. She smiled to herself as she familiarized herself with the new layout of the building. She eventually found Angel’s empty office, and walked in. She sat down in his chair and spun around a little, and laid her hands down over the desk. It was good to be home.

Plead you case to the devil..

It'd been a month, since Lilah handed Angel the keys to the firm. Personally she hated the bastard and thought that the Senior Partners made a huge mistake in putting him in charge. Oh well she knew she shouldn't complain, since she was still alive. Well technically undead no Thanks to Wesley of course. Anyway it'd been a month since they started to change things around the firm.

Lilah sat alone in her gray windowless office going over a stack of applications for liaison. She’d been going through application after application, for what felt like hours. After about the fiftieth one or so she came to the conclusion that no one that she’d looked at was right for the job, so she put in a call to the Senior Partners and requested a meeting with them to discuss the applicants. Two hours and a few more applications later, they’d finally agreed to see her. She left the stack of applications sitting on her desk, double checked herself in the mirror and walked out of her office.

She walked down the long dark window lined corridor that led to the Senior Partners office. She took a deep breath once she reached the two large dark cherry wood doors. She knocked on the doors once and waited a few seconds for one of them to say come in. After a few seconds a low gravelly voice said, ”Enter”. She opened the door and walked inside, closing the door behind her.

Lilah stood in the middle of their office, while behind a large ornate desk sat the Wolf Ram and Hart. The three of them looked at her, waiting to hear how the search for a new liaison was coming along. Lilah looked at them and quietly cleared her throat. “I’ve gone over all the applications that you’re considering for the new liaison to Angel and his friends, and frankly none of them are really all that qualified.” She explained carefully watching their expressions for any hint of displeasure.

Wolf looked at his other two partners, then back at Lilah. ”You mean to tell us Ms. Morgan that out of over two thousand plus applicants that not one of them are qualified or suitable to handle Angel and his friends?” Ram and Hart just nodded in agreement with Wolf. Lilah sighed and briefly wondered how it was these three ever rose to power. “Sir with all due respect yes none of the applicants know Angel and his team as well as I do, I’m the perfect candidate for the job” She pointed out.

”Fine we’ll send you back to earth as liaison to Angel and his friends, on one condition.” Lilah looked at them, “What’s the condition?”

Wolf looked at her with a huge smile, “Your contract will have to be bought from us in order for you to remain on earth as the liaison.” Then they fixed her neck wound;and Lilah looked at the three of them and nodded, thanked them and walked out of the office to go collect her things. An hour later Lilah was back on earth and walking into the Los Angeles branch like she owned the place, even though it was well past midnight and no one would be brave enough to stay after hours. She smiled to herself as she familiarized herself with the new layout of the building. She eventually found Angel’s empty office, and walked in. She sat down in his chair and spun around a little, and laid her hands down over the desk. It was good to be home.

Date with Death

Who:Lilah,Death and later Lindsey
Where:Wolfram and Hart Offices
When:Monday night

Lilah was just finishing up some late night paperwork and was on her way out of the office. She was almost past Lindsey's still empty office, when she noticed the guy with dark sunglasses that she'd seen a few glimpses of in the last two weeks or so. She stopped and just watched him for a second,it was eerie how no one else seemed to see him as they walked by him. Lilah wasn't sure why,but the closer to her this guy got she was gripped with the overwhelming urge to run as fast and as far as possible.

Once her trance like state seemed to wear off, she turned around and headed for the nearest stairwell exit door. Once she found the nearest exit door Lilah made her way down the stairs, and she kept going until she hit medical wing. She realized though once he was on the medical wing floor that she hadn't been down there enough to know her way around. So she just kept walking at a slightly faster than normal pace and she turned around a few times to see if the mysterious guy was still following her.

Dinner with the FBI

Dinner with the FBI
Booth almost thought he was going to have to cancel his date with Lilah thanks to the discovery of some remains in the Potomac. Lucky for him Brennan managed to identify the victim quickly and determined that it was an accidental death. He was running a few minutes late though and after knocking on the door, he worked on tying his tie. Lilah was just finishing doing her make up,once she was done she opened the door. She smiled at him. "Hey.." "Hey," he said with a smile as he smoothed down his tie. "You look great. Sorry I'm running behind."

"It's okay, just let me grab my coat and we can go." "Sure," he said, shoving his hands in his pockets and waiting for her to get her coat. "How do you feel about Chinese?" he asked when they were on their way. "I'm good with that." She said with a smile. "It's right around the corner, so I figured we could walk," he said. "Sounds great." She replied as they started walking towards the place.

"Working on any interesting cases?' Booth asked as they walked. He was grateful the fall air was cool but not yet cold. "Not really, well nothing as interesting as what I'm used to in LA anyway." He nodded. "What kind of cases did you work on there?" "Big cooperate type stuff mostly." She shrugged. "That doesn't sound very interesting." "Well I guess you had to be there.." She said. "I guess so," Booth agreed. "Any good stories you can share?"

"Well we did have a initiation ritual of sorts with the interns." "Oh?" he asked. "What did it entail?" "A room full of poisonous snakes." Booth stared at her. "Seriously?" "A few times yeah." She said with a small smile.

"What the hell kind of law firm did you work for?" He asked. "One with a very twisted sense of humor." She answered. "That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen," he remarked. "Anywhere else probably." "What made your firm so special then?" Booth asked. She shrugged. "It's older than most firms in LA." "So they can stick people in rooms full of poisonous snakes?" he asked. "Among other things, they were very unorthodox firm." She informed him. "I arrested a guy once who was literally scaring young girls to death," he said. "By using their greatest fears against them. When we found him, he had a girl locked in a room full of snakes."

"Sounds like some of my former clients." "Wow." Booth was kind of glad they arrived at the restaurant then. He held the door open for her and led her to a booth, waving at Sid. She walked in and followed him to the booth. "You can order off the menu if you want," he said, once they settled in to their seats. "But the best thing to do is let Sid bring you something. It's like he has a magical power for knowing what you need." "Okay then I'll take your advice and do that then." She said with a smile.

Hunting Grounds...

Who: Lilah and Wesley
Where: Bar downtown LA
When: Night
What: Lilah trying to win Wesley over

It had been your typical Thursday at Wolfram and Hart that is until Lilah received an interesting memo on her desk just after lunch. All the note said was, "Find and talk to Wyndam Pryce." It was signed by the Senior Partners. She looked the memo over and reread it a few more times. She didn't have to question why she was given this particular assignment, because she already knew why. In fact Lindsey'd been 'nice' enough to point it out to her on several occasions.

After tossing the memo and making a call to Lindsey to find out exactly where Wesley Wyndam Pryce liked to drown his sorrows these days, Lilah gathered up her things and told her assistant to hold all her calls. She then went down to the underground parking lot and got into her car. She threw her briefcase and purse onto the passenger seat, before pulling out of the garage.

Thirty minutes worth of traffic later, she was parked in front of Wesley's favorite bar. She took a few deep breaths and fixed her hair and make up, then stepped out of her car. She adjusted the shoulder strap of her purse as she made her way into the bar. Lilah walked confidently into the bar watching as every head in the place turned in her direction. She smiled loving that she had that affect on people.

As she walked over to where Wesley was sitting alone at a corner table, she flagged a waiter down and ordered a Vodka martini. Once she'd ordered her drink she took a good long look at the man in front of her. "They weren't kidding when they said he was the picture of pathetic." she thought as she moved closer to his table. "You mind if I join you?" She asked him, as she sat down across from him without waiting for an answer.

It's really not as bad as it sounds..
